Digital Compilation of Bedrock Geology and Till Geochemistry Northern Finlayson Lake Map Area, southeastern Yukon (105G) 2002 (Note: this file is best viewed in Notepad if "word wrap" is checked under the edit menu.) CD Content ---------- This CD-ROM contains all the digital data files that were assembled or created during the Finlayson Lake TGI project. It includes two MS Access databases of field observations (bedrock and surficial), scanned and digitized maps, a series of georeferenced images (geophysical and LandSat), and a collection of reports from the Yukon Exploration and Geology (YEG) series. The data is presented in formats that can be viewed using four software products. Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 and ESRI ArcExplorer 2 are provided on this CD, and are also widely available free of charge from the internet. Microsoft Internet Explorer is required to view the interface screens (Netscape may not work properly). A runtime version of Microsoft Access is also included on the CD to view the field databases if the user does not already have Microsoft Access installed on their computer. These four software products, or equivalent licensed versions, must be installed to utilize the full interactive capability of this CD. The spatial data on the CD can also be manually opened or imported in other popular CAD (AutoCAD Map) and GIS (ArcView, ArcInfo, MapInfo) software, if these are available privately to the user. Main Navigation Window ---------------------- There is an Autoplay that will run for the CD in Microsoft Windows 95 and above. Inserting the CD into your CD-ROM drive will automatically launch the main navigation window. If this window does not start up, you can manually open the main navigation screen by clicking on home.html, and if this still does not launch anything, click on main.htm in the root directory.
