Caption:
A bedrock outcrop at station 16-PTA-031 sculpted by the three latter phases of ice flow that impacted the map sheet (the oldest northeast flow phase, was not preserved at this site) - the outcrop shows erosion to the northwest (1), during a time when the Ancestral Labrador ice divide was to the southeast arching northward over the De Pas Batholith - migration of the ice divide across this outcrop would have resulted in no basal ice erosion, until the divide was well to the west, which then produced eastward striae (2) - as the ice sheet thinned during deglaciation, topography and sluggish ice on the De Pas Batholith, as well as a continuously evolving ice divide to the west, caused northeast-trending striae (Brunton for scale)
