Résumé(disponible en anglais seulement)
The 3D geologic modelling workshop will share latest insights of subsurface structure of the Purcell anticlinorium, especially ore-hosting Sullivan horizon. The 3D model, a product of the federal funded TGI4 program is a guide to stimulate exploration in this SEDEX mining district. Lithostratigraphic and structural elements of the 3D model extracted from drill, map and seismic data is shown in interactive sessions using state - of - the - art 3D stereo visualization. Discussion s will evolve around complexities in regional - scale structure and ore deposit settings in the Aldridge and participants are invited to share expertise in geology, mineralization and geophysical interpretation s of the region. The 3D modelling project provides enhanced understanding of the structure of the Purcell anticlinorium and controls on mineralization ; it details Sullivan horizon, a reference datum and drill target of SEDEX mineralization; it refines understanding of early tectonic structures, lithofacies variations and paleogeographic setting of the Aldridge Formation and its SEDEX deposits; and t rends of alteration assemblages and fault structures associated with hydrothermal conduits and sub-basin margins provide insight of the setting of the Sullivan deposit and its satellites.
