Résumé | (disponible en anglais seulement) A software package which simulates Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery is available at the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing (CCRS). This enables a user to
process airborne SAR data to simulate Spaceborne SARs such as RADARSAT and ERS-1. The package, called SARPAC (developed under contract by Intera Technologies Ltd. and copyrighted), consists of a series of inter-connected, common format user friendly
routines which perform filtering statistical analyses and input-output manipulations of SAR and other data. The key feature is a "speckle ball generator" which generated speckle with both the radiometric properties desired per pixel, and the spatial
correlation appropriate to a particular SAR. The software package and simulation process is described from a users perspective and examples of the results are presented. The requirements for future modifications to the software are also
discussed. |
