Résumé | (disponible en anglais seulement) This open file presents field and laboratory observations of a well water reconnaissance survey carried out during the 1976 field season in the Cypress Hills
area of Saskatchewan. Approximately 880 wells and 60 sprins were sampled from a 17,900 km2 (6910 mi2) area bounded by the limits of maps 72F, 72K/1 and 72K/2. On the average one site per 13km2 (5mi2) was sampled where possible. Up to 30 variables
were determined on each sample in addition to numerous field observations. All measurements and observations are recorded on magnetic tape. The groundswater survey was carried out to determine the general usefulness of such surveys for U prospecting
and to evaluate the hydrogeochemical character of the region. The survey was managed by the Geological Survey of Canada in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Department of Mineral Resources, and the Saskatchewan Research Council under the terms of the
Canada-Saskatchewan Agreement on the Uranium Reconnaissance Program. |
