AbstractLocal earthquakes recorded on the seismographs at Victoria, Alberni and Horseshoe Bay, British Columbia are tabulated, continuing a listing begun in 1951. Those twelve earthquakes which were felt are discussed separately. Epicentres are plotted on two maps, the first showing 1952 epicentres on a map of southern British Columbia, the second showing epicentres for both 1951 and 1952 shocks on a map of southern Vancouver Island. While it is yet too early to draw definite conclusions there appears to be a tendency for the epicentres to lie along definite lines, some of which coincide with known faults.
