AbstractFrom a search of available sources a list has been compiled of earthquakes which occurred in Canada or whose epicentres were so close to the Canadian border that they must have been felt in Canada. A total of 77 earthquakes are listed, covering the period from September, 1899, to December, 1955. They vary in intensity from very weak shocks to the Yakutat Bay earthquake of magnitude 8. 6. Where possible , a description is given for the major tremors.
