Summary(Plain Language Summary, not published)
We compiled information about the surficial and glacial geology in eastern Northwest Territories and central mainland, Nunavut to provide an up-to-date perspective on the fieldwork carried out in the region and highlights areas lacking either remote or ground-based observations were lacking. Our compilation yielded 2,485 field observations made since the 1890s. Sampling of sediments for different analyses was carried out at 1,101 of the 2,485 field stations and ice-flow measurements were reported at 1,313 sites. The ice-flow direction dataset will contribute to the interpretation of the ice-flow chronology and help gain insights into glacial transport processes and dispersal patterns to support mineral exploration in this underexplored region.
