ProgramGEM-GeoNorth: Geo-mapping for Energy and Minerals Program Strategy and Engagement
Released2022 04 07
Summary(Plain Language Summary, not published)
This six-panel pamphlet introduces the Geological Survey of Canada's GEM-GeoNorth Program (2020-2017). This Program is a continuation of the Geo-Mapping for Energy and Minerals (GEM) program, a 12-year mapping program to bridge the significant geoscience knowledge gap in the North, focusing on the area north of the 55th parallel of Canada. The GEM-GeoNorth Program has a broader scope to reflect today's realities and priorities in northern Canada. The pamphlet includes information on program goals and commitments, collaborations, alignment of research priorities with northern and Indigenous organizations, and the advisory role of the Advisory Group of Northerners (AGN).
