Summary | (Plain Language Summary, not published) This tool is a framework to help First Nation communities or Tribal Councils recognize the impacts of climate change in their communities and initiate
climate change adaptation projects. The goal of the Adaptation Framework is to help community climate change specialists move towards successful adaptation for the communities they serve in order to help implement adaptation options that are in line
with the community's needs, meshes with the community's values and goals, and incorporates Traditional Knowledge as well as science. Steps include learning about climate change impacts and adaptations, gathering knowledge from the community,
discussing adaptation options, implementing projects, and evaluating success. |
