AbstractA method is described for the determination of uranium in high grade uranium material. Uranium is separated from contaminants by means of an ethyl acetate extraction using aluminum nitrate as a salting agent. The uranium is then determined colorimetrically by the sodium hydroxide-hydrogen peroxide method. The procedure is accurate, rapid and easily adaptable to routine work.
