AbstractConstructional details are given of a new electronic picker unit for the concentration of coarse low-grade uranium ore using a scintillation detector. Typical results obtained with low-grade ore from two mines in the Beaverlodge area are presented as examples of the concentration achieved with the higher sensitivity of such a detector. Comparative tests with a Geiger detector are also reported.
