Abstract(Summary)
The shipment of ore was crushed, sampled and assayed and was found to contain 0.96% MoS?. Concentration tests showed an overall recovery of 67.8% of the molybdenite with 40.2% being obtained in a concentrate assaying 87.38% MoS?. The low recovery of molybdenum is believed to be due to the presence of an alteration product ferrimolybdite. A series of pilot plant investigations confirmed the small scale tests.
