Summary(Plain Language Summary, not published)
This report summaries new findings regarding the geological age from biostratigraphic analyses for the Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) Site 645 corehole in Baffin Bay. We find the age to range from early Miocene to Pliocene (with overlying Pleistocene rocks not studied). In addition, we use fossils and information from the rocks to interpret paleoenvironments of deposition for the entire section. Our findings present the newest results on the late Cenozoic stratigraphy for western Baffin Bay.
