AbstractThis report presents a retrogressive, sensitive clay landslide inventory map and database compiled for the area bound approximately by the City of Ottawa, derived from a high-resolution, bare earth DEM derived from a LiDAR survey. The main map is supplemented by 20 inset maps that are enlargements of the isolated or groups of landslides. The inventory map depicts eighty-nine landslide features categorized as seventy-three landslides, seven probable landslides, four possible landslides, and five former landslides sites. Most are located in distinct clusters along the Mississippi River, the Mer Bleue paleochannel, and along a scarp slope that forms the edge of a river terrace in the Rockcliffe-Gloucester-Orleans-Cumberland area. The landslide database lists for each identified landslide its general location, site code, geographical coordinates, feature interpretation, feature morphology, landslide source area (km2), feature age (if known) and comments. The inventory map and database represent a demonstration of derivative products obtained using a high-resolution, bare earth DEM, and are intended to promote or foster additional sensitive clay landslide mapping in the Ottawa Valley.
