AbstractSatellite images are an invaluable tool to study structural geology and regional tectonics as shown for the above examples. The synoptic and global coverage provided by satellites, the wide swath width of different orbital sensors, and the repeated coverage have produced images with different viewing angles to easily map geologic structures in vegetated and non-vegetated areas. © Springer Science+Business Media New York 2014.
