Abstract | Our RADARSAT 2 InSAR monitoring of two SAGD oil sands sites shows high correlation of surface deformation and steam injection. Surface heave is about 2 cm/year on these SAGD sites. The short time series
InSAR profiles from COSMO SkyMed images shows improved surface heave propagation distance under different injection depths and over burden properties and thickness. This more rapid InSAR heave results will calibrate current analytical models linking
surface deformation and subsurface volumetric strains. |
