Summary(Plain Language Summary, not published)
This geological field trip guidebook of the Targeted Geoscience Initiative program describes the iron oxide and alkali-calcic alteration system of the Bondy gneiss complex and its epithermal, IOCG and affiliated mineralisation in the southwestern Grenville Province (Québec, Canada). Its field attributes are those of metasomatic systems metamorphosed to granulite facies. Consequently, we emphasise the field protocols for their identification and exploration and the linkages between their alteration and mineralisation types. Additional transects across host terrane, the Central Metasedimentary Belt, and adjacent Morin Terrane, provide an overview of the regional tectono-magmatic framework and varied styles of magma emplacement. Thousands of xenoliths in a lamprophyre dyke offer a 3D perspective on the Grenvillian lithosphere. The outcrops described are also show cased in public awareness brochures and geological rallies in the Papineau-Labelle wildlife reserve. Have a great trip!
