Summary | (Plain Language Summary, not published) Systematically coordinated observations of glacier fluctuations are crucial to understanding hemispheric and global scale climate system change, and the
associated impacts on the Earth¿s hydrological system. Through integrated research and monitoring, NRCan produces quantitative information annually pertaining to the rates and causality of change to Canada's glaciers. Results from this work are made
available to the international science community through publication in scientific journals and annual submissions to global databases which represent significant contributions to Canada's commitment to the United Nations Framework Convention on
Climate Change (UNFCCC). |
