Summary | (Plain Language Summary, not published) This publication contains the Program and Abstracts of the High Arctic Large Igneous Province (HALIP) Workshop held in Ottawa on February 12-13, 2016.
The HALIP Workshop brought together 17 participants from NRCan, universities and the private sector with expertise on the Large Igneous Provinces and Ni-Cu-PGE exploration targets in magmatic systems. The goals of the HALIP Workshop were (1) to
promote a discussion of preliminary results; (2) to highlight the knowledge gaps in our understanding of this large igneous province; and (3) to suggest directions for future work in this region of Nunavut. Marie-Claude Williamson convened the HALIP
Workshop and is acting as Editor of the Open File for the GEM 2 Program, Western Arctic Region Project. |
