AbstractAerial surveys of the sea ice in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago and adjacent waters have been made by the Polar Continental Shelf Project from 1961 to 1968. During these years successive observations have been made at various intervals between March and November of the distributions of sea-ice types and features, the progression of breakup, the advance of ablation, the patterns of movement and the sequence of freeze-up. These observations are presented on maps accompanied by written descriptions and seasonal summaries.
The atlas comprises 120 coloured maps 28 x 38 cm.
