Abstract | Sandstone, shale and conglomerate of the Chinkeh Formation occur at the base of the Cretaceous section in the Liard Basin of northeastern British Columbia, southeastern Yukon and southwestern Northwest
Territories. The age of this unit and the degree of western provenance has been a source of debate. This report provides sample information, detrital zircon methodology and the complete filtered data tables for the suite of samples from the Chinkeh
Formation. These data document an Albian to latest Aptian age for the formation and a dominant recycled Ellesmerian provenance. |
