The purpose of the Open Government Licence - Canada User Manual is to inform users of Canadian open geospatial data about the nature and scope of the Open Government Licence of Canada (OGLC) and to guide their interactions with it. The purpose of this manual is to help the user fully understand the OGLA-C ( before downloading the resources available through the Open Data Portal of Canada. Part 1 provides an item-by-item description of the licence to explain how it works in plain language. Part 2 provides three descriptive "Use Scenarios" that illustrate how the licence may apply to the access, use, redistribution or merging of the licensed data in accordance with the C-GGO Act.
