Cette carte représente une compilation de glissements de terrain historiques qui ont causé des décès au Canada (1771-2014). Cette carte inclut un tableau
répertoriant les évènements et leurs coordonnées par ordre chronologique ainsi qu'une brève description. Nous avons également inclus des glissements de terrain qui ont causé des tsunamis qui, par la suite, ont causé des décès. Les évènements ont été
tracés parmi les régions physiographiques du Canada (Bostock, 2014) superposées sur un modèle numérique d'élévation. Ce dossier a tenté de résumer, dans un effort commun, tous les glissements de terrain documentés au Canada qui ont entrainé la mort.
Il y a sans doute des évènements manquants. Or, si le lecteur peut contribuer à l'inventaire, s'il vous plait communiquer avec la Commission géologique du Canada. |
