ProgramTargeted Geoscience Initiative (TGI-4) Mafic-Ultramafic Ore Systems
Released2015 01 23
Summary(Plain Language Summary, not published)
The Targeted Geoscience Initiative (TGI-4) is a collaborative federal geoscience program that provides industry with the next generation of geoscience knowledge and innovative techniques to better detect buried mineral deposits, thereby reducing some of the risks of exploration. This contribution is part of the high-magnesium mineralized ultramafic to mafic systems subproject under the Targeted Geoscience Initiative 4 of the Geological Survey of Canada. It aims to present the main lithofacies of the Pyroxénite de baie Chapus and their mineralogical and chemical composition to understand the genesis of this intrusion and determine its economic interest.
