Summary(Plain Language Summary, not published)
This map is one the three maps documenting the seismic microzonation of the Quebec City region. The object of seismic microzonation is to show on a map geophysical or geotechnical properties of the subsurface relevant to seismic hazard assessment. This map shows the fundamental period of vibration of terrains. When the fundamental periods of vibration of a terrain and of an overlying building or infrastructure are about the same, significant damages can occur, all other things being equal. This map with a highly specialized content is aimed mainly at the civil and geotechnical engineering services of Quebec City, l'Ancienne-Lorette, and Wendake.
