AbstractThis paper presents initial results of the regional characterisation of hydraulic properties of the Montérégie Est fractured rock aquifer system. This work is part of a regional groundwater assessment project. The work aims at developing a quantitative understanding of the groundwater flow dynamics in the study area. Various data from different sources and recent field work are processed using statistical tools. Initial results concerning the estimation of spatially distributed hydraulic conductivity and of fracture patterns are presented and discussed.
