AbstractThis report describes the tectonic evolution, stratigraphy, structure, and igneous history of part of the Mackenzie Mountains in the northern Canadian Cordillera, Northwest Territories. The project focussed on the Sekwi Mountain, Mount Eduni, and northwestern Wrigley Lake map-areas, which are covered by Canada's National Topographic System (NTS) map sheets 105P, 106A and northwestern 95M, respectively. Mineral showings are described in the context of their regional geological settings. The dataset provides a geological framework that is critical to the search for and assessment of mineral deposits and petroleum potential, as well as other geological studies in the area. This volume is complemented by eight appendices, which include measured sections (Appendices A, B, C and D), total organic carbon and Rock-Eval data (Appendix E and G), macrofossil and microfossil identifications, and palynological data (Appendix F), new assay results, and descriptions of new and previously known mineral showings (Appendix H). Nine bedrock geology maps at 1:100,000 scale and 3 cross-sections were generated along with this volume and are published separately as NWT Open Files 2010-09 to 19. The bedrock geology maps have also been compiled at 1:250,000 scale and published as GSC Open Files 6592 and 6594.
