Abstract | This map was produced as part of the Southwest Baffin Integrated Geoscience Project (SWBIG), a joint effort between the Canada-Nunavut Geoscience Office and the Geological Survey of Canada. This map
represents the first surficial geology map published for the area. Earlier Quaternary geology research was conducted on Foxe Peninsula by Blake (1966), including an unpublished glacial landforms map of the region. Initial ice flow interpretations
were presented by Utting et al. (2007) and results from a till geochemistry survey are given by Utting and Brown (2007). |
