AbstractNew U-Pb geochronological results are presented for three samples from the Kakinagimak Lake area, east of Pelican Narrows. A sample of homogeneous feldspar-phyric dacite interpreted as a subvolcanic intrusion yielded a crystallization age of 1846 ± 7 Ma and a metamorphic age constrained between 1.81-1.82 Ga. A plagioclase-phyric intermediate volcanic rock has a minimum crystallization age of 1831 ± 2 Ma and records metamorphic zircon growth at 1808 ± 4 Ma. A sample of anatectic leucogranite is interpreted to have been emplaced at 1807 ± 8 Ma. Inherited dates of 1957±12 Ma and, 1868 ± 6 Ma are also recorded in the leucogranite.
