AbstractApart from historical mentions, there is very little published work and no modern analyses of the Winy Point oil seeps and water springs. The purpose of this project was to find the site first reported by McConnell in 1889, confirm the seep and springs, and collect relevant samples for analysis. A goal of sample analyses was to characterize the oil with the aim of identifying its source.
