AbstractPehdzeh Ki Ndeh area of interest embraces parts of four physiographic regions that are characterized by distinctive subsurface geology. The Great Slave and Great Bear Plains of east-central Pehdzeh Ki Ndeh and the Mackenzie Plain of western Pehdzeh Ki Ndeh have low to moderate potential for natural gas and low oil potential. Quantitative estimates indicate that the ultimate potential of the Pehdzeh Ki Ndeh area of interest is probably less than 0.5 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. Sandstone of the Mount Clark Formation in the Great Bear Plain is the most prospective gas reservoir unit. Oil potential is not significant and is probably less than 1.0 million barrels.
