AbstractThis study focused on the demonstration of hyperspectral Probe-1 data for the discrimination of crop residue from bare soil. The results indicated that independently of the crop residue cover and the optical properties of the bare soil, the best combination of bands to distinguish crop residue from bare soil was band 36 (943 nm) versus band 115 (2303 nm).
