Abstract | This paper gives overview of the Imaging Spectrometer Data Analysis System (ISDAS) with a detailed description of the implemented information extraction tools as well as their application to
agricultural Compact Airborne Spectrographic Imager (casi) data. Preliminary results indicate that the spectral unmixing technique is a powerful tool for detection of variations within a crop field. The study also demonstrates that the canopy
vegetation liquid water expressed as equivalent water thickness (EWT) covers within-field variations which cannot be seen in the original data. In addition, the hyperspectral information extraction techniques used are superior to the normalized
difference vegetation index (NDVI) for detection of within-field variation. |
