AbstractThe Canada Centre for Remote Sensing (CCRS) works closely with both Canadian industry and other government departments to develop marine remote sensing applications. During the past year, CCRS has been involved in RADARSAT synthetic aperture radar (SAR) marine surveillance and application development activities including ship detection, oilspill detection, and wind vector retrieval. New activities will consider the synergy between SAR and ocean colour imagery.
