AbstractWe demonstrate the use of RADARSAT data for repeat-pass synthetic aperture radar (SAR) interferometry (InSAR) over an Arctic test site. Six pairs of fine and standard beam mode RADARSAT SAR data have been acquired and processed. The large satellite drift rate with respect to the critical interferometric baseline has prevented the acquisition of a more extensive database. We show that useful scene coherence may be retained over RADARSAT's 24-day repeat orbit cycle. We discuss the interferometric processing methodology required for generation of RADARSAT interferograms and scene coherence maps. The methodology includes image co-registration, spectral filtering of the complex data in both azimuth and range, estimation of the interferometric baseline, and correction of the interferogram with respect to the flat earthphase contribution.
