Abstract | Wetland identification and monitoring is an important application for remote sensing technology due to the increasing relevance of environmental considerations. This study used multi-temporal ERS-1 and
TM data to identify the wetland in the Lake St. Clair Delta. The results demonstrate accurate identification of wetlands is possible using either optical or multi-temporal SAR data. Recommendations are then put forth for applying this technology to
larger regions such as the Lake Erie watershed or the entire Great Lakes Basin |
