| Abstract | Airborne C-HH SAR data acquired during and one year after a forest fire in the North Cabin area of Saskatchewan are used to evaluate the potential of RADARSAT for mapping burn area. Although the burned
area was difficult to delineate during the forest fire, it was easy to detect the following year. The possible backscatter mechanisms explaining this result are discussed, and the need for further study of this application is presented. |
