AbstractA procedure for the extraction and purification of U from Fe-, Ca-, and Ti-bearing minerals using U/TEVAúSPECTM extraction chromatographic material is described. The procedure has several advantages over previous techniques: it requires less time, uses much smaller quantities of high-purity acids, and yields improved U analysis by thermal ionization mass spectrometry.
